Questions
Straight answers on price, travel, brands, urgency, and the things this desk will not pretend to be.
Do you publish prices?
Project and service prices are confirmed in writing with the scope, before the paid work starts. A few items in the shop already show a price in shillings. Everything else is a quote.
Do I have to buy the equipment from you?
No. We install and support equipment the site already has. We also supply, when you want one company to bring the hardware and fit it.
Are you an authorised partner for the brands in the photographs?
No. The photographs show equipment on jobs: cameras, a firewall, radios, a router, cabinets. They are not a partnership badge.
How quickly can someone come?
We do not publish a response time. Say how urgent the site is, and whether it is still working, and we will tell you when someone can look at it.
Where is the shop?
Contour Business Center, Shop B08, Kasarani, Nairobi. The phone is 0798 368 325. The map is on the contact page.
Do you work outside Nairobi?
Yes. Say the town. Travel is written into the scope, so it is not added as a surprise after the job.
Can the person who already looks after our IT stay involved?
Yes. The scope can be the part they do not want to carry alone: the cabinet, the link, the cameras, the cutover, or the weekend move.
What should the first message include?
The site and the town, what you want done, how many people it affects if you know, and a phone number for someone who can open the door or share a screen.
Will you start the paid work from a WhatsApp chat?
The chat can start the conversation. The paid work starts after a written scope. A message on its own is not the scope.
What happens to passwords we give you?
They are used for that job. Ask, and they are changed before we leave. You should not have to wonder which accounts a visit still holds.
Do the trend stories belong to FuchaTech?
The original notes do. The trends are excerpts from other publications, dated from their feeds and linked back. They are marked so they are not read as our reporting.
